Beth & Jerry are from the same small town, so they knew each other throughout high school, but they got to be close friends when his best friend was dating her best friend. They would hang out together and have “game night” at his friend’s house. After months of their friends playing match maker, they finally went on a date in January of 2012.
“He asked me to be his girlfriend on April Fools Day, which I thought was hilarious but he thought was a little bit embarrassing, and we have been together ever since” said Beth.
Jerry proposed on December 6th, 2014 at The Greenbrier Resort. He took her there for a late birthday present and to enjoy the Christmas decorations. They started the day with a horse drawn carriage ride and that evening, before dinner they gathered outside, in front of the hotel with other guests for caroling and lighting of the Christmas tree. As everyone counted down for the tree to be lit, she anxiously held her phone up, waiting to capture the moment. When she turned around, Jerry was on one knee with the most beautiful ring she had ever seen.
“I immediately cried and said “yes” as the little ladies around us took pictures. It was such a wonderful moment to begin this beautiful journey into marriage with the man of my dreams.”
While capturing their engagement pictures, their love for each other was so present and beautiful, they were dancing to a music that only they could hear!
And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music.”
