Cash _ Children’s Portrait Photographer in Roanoke Va

You don’t really understand human nature

unless you know

why a child, on a merry go round

will wave at his parents

every time around

and why his parents will always wave back.

– William D. Tammeus

Here is Cash’s 17 month old session. It was a cold day in November  (I couldn’t post it before Christmas, because prints were being donated as gifts!), and the lighting was perfect…

It was late afternoon and the sun was going down, giving us those beautiful pre sunset colors.

It’s easy  to take good pictures when your subject is such a cute little being like Cash.He loves “wheels on the bus”, getting mommy and daddy to read to him “Brown bear, brown bear” and to play. Give him a ball of any sort and he could play with it all day! His smile can light  up a room. He’s handsome and soooo sweet!!! And just like every child of his age, he had his happy moments and… not so happy ones.

And isn’t that what we’re all in constant search for? True emotions…

As a photographer, my main goal is to tell the story through my images. Capture the portraits where everyone is perfect but mostly those in between moments that make every day a special one. Even those every day actions that we constantly witness and don’t realize how important they are until someone points them out to us.

What do 17 month old children do?!

Play, run, laugh, cry. eat and take all the cuddles and kisses that mommy and daddy give them!!! (not only and not necessarily in that order…)

That’s what today’s post is about. A happy toddler, that had a playful day at the park, with his parents ( big “Johnny Cash” fans!) that have so much love for him and care for him in every possible way!!!

For this children’s session, we headed to one of Roanoke’s parks, Starkey Park. I believe playgrounds are the best environment for children’s pictures and Cash seemed to agree. His favorite part of the day was the swing and you can see the joy in his eyes while he’s on it! He almost didn’t want to get off of it at all!

Thank you to the W Family for allowing me to capture a little parenthesis of your lives! It was a great pleasure meeting you and hopefully I will have this pleasure again in the future!!!

I hope you will enjoy looking at these pictures as much as I enjoyed capturing them. Click here to Book Your Personalized Photo Session!!!
