Kaitlin & Chris met at Virginia Tech but it wasn’t until two years after they graduated that they re-connected and the rest was history!
One day while on a hike with their dog, Kaitlin & Chris were going down a familiar path that leads to what is normally a great view. However, that day it was really overgrown. They were bummed out but the path did have a bench where they could sit and enjoy a private moment. Kaitlin was holding the dog but he was pulling the least to sniff something nearby so she followed him. When she turned back around, Chris was down on one knee!
Kaitlin wore a gorgeous wedding dress from Allure Romance and Chris was looking sharp in his suit by Indochino.
This beautiful couple chose the sunflower to be the key flower for their special day. Kaitlin has always loved sunflowers but never thought about using them in her wedding until she was visiting her mom at her cabin. There was a fresh bouquet of sunflowers sitting in the middle of the table and they looked so bright and cheery. Kaitlin knew she wanted them to be the focal point on the tables at her wedding.
Chris had the responsibility of choosing the cake and the final result was a delicious Devil’s food cake. Their first dance was to the famous Dirty Dancing song, Time of My Life. Kaitlin always loved the song and their wedding took place down the road from where part of the movie was filmed which made it a perfect choice. They practiced with some dancing lessons in order to try and mimic some of the moves from the movie and they did such a wonderful job!
Kaitlin’s favorite moments from the day were the ceremony and the first dance. The ceremony was both unique and fun and the first dance was something she was really looking forward to and had so much fun doing it! Chris’s favorite moment was when he watched his bride, Kaitlin, walk down the aisle. Overall, this was such an incredible wedding day. I am so thankful and honored to be able to document this day for this amazing couple. Congrats!
